“Rather than spouting information, genuine Tennis Teachers find a way to penetrate their students as they lead them towards experiencing the desired skills”. - Don Henson

Don Henson - Founder and Director

A full-time tennis teacher since 1966, Don is one of the original 18 Master Professionals. His long career in the tennis world has seen him as a club owner, court builder, tournament promoter, administrator, player developer, mentor, and certification tester for both the USPTA and the PTR. It was during his 35 years as a international tester for the USPTA that Don developed a passion for helping other tennis teachers become more effective on the court. In 1984, Don began what he thought would be a one-year research project entitled "How Humans Acquire Specific Skills". The "one year project" is ongoing and has involved many from movement disciplines outside of the world of tennis. During his years as a tester Don has had the opportunity to work with more than 7,000 teaching pros from around the world. The Tennis Teachers Institute is a vision Don shared with longtime friend and mentor, George Basco, "the father of tennis teacher certification". And now, after many years of thought and consideration, that vision comes to life. Don is a member of the Head/Penn national advisory staff and a 6 time Pro of the Year. In 2017, Don was inducted into the USPTA N.E. Hall of Fame.
Simon Paek - USPTA Professional

Simon is a former US National Coach for the USTA, served on the Executive Committee of the USPTA and is a past President of the USPTA's California Division. Named California Division Professional of the year in 2003, Simon was recently honored as a recipient of Strathmore's Who's Who for his accomplishments on and off the tennis court. Simon has also owned and operated Tennis Factory, a full service retail shop. Simon is a member of Team Babolat and continues to speak not only here in the US but internationally as well.

Lillie Krukrubo

A native of Cameroon, West Africa, Lil cam to the US on a tennis scholarship to Marshall University where she played #1 and won the MAC singles title four years running. A former member of both the Federation Cub and Olympic teams in Cameroon, she brings with her a wealth of knowledge from her 23 years in international tennis. She is a passionate and committed teacher whose enthusiasm for her role both inspires and encourages those who she has the privilege to work with.

Stan Carter

After years of competitive play, Stan was challenged by his oldest daughter to teach her how to play. He took this challenge seriously and began to train with Don Henson to be a teaching pro. Stan currently serves on the Board of Directors of the California Division of the USPTA as the First Vice President, teaches full-time and works regularly with Don on special projects.
